It's a very beautiful color that's hard to … Read more This is a beautiful Antique Kitchen Pantry Box in it's original condition. It's a very beautiful color that's hard to capture in a photograph. I believe the original paint of this box was the "blueberry color" that's painted on the bottom, ( please see the attached photo up on it's side with light wood and bright color paint ). At some point after many years of use and fading color, I believe it was repainted by it's then owner. I received this piece in it's current condition without adding any alterations. The inside cover of this box is natural wood and looks like it was used on occasion as a mini cutting surface. All of the cut marks are short and shallow.. The construction of the box is very solid. There is a slight gap on the top edge where the bentwood finger joints overlap and right next to this a slight gap appears between the top and side panel. This slight gap only appears in one area.

This box is like a little treasure from the past, handed down from Mother to daughter many times. This antiique box will add charm and authenticity to your kitchen. See less
