This is an antique Georgian style highboy or tall chest-on-stand in a beautifully figured burled walnut with outstanding color and patina. The upper chest has a nicely proportioned molded crown and five graduated drawers. The lower stand has one long drawer, two smaller drawers, a serpentine-shaped apron, cabriole legs and pad feet. The drawers have cross banded borders and ornate brass bail pulls and escutcheons. No maker’s mark.
