The figure, rendered in fragmentary form, recalls the language of classical busts, the musculature bearing the imprint of the sculptors hand. With arms and neck left unfinished, it carries the sense of archeological discovery, as if unearthed from an atelier or ruin. The plaster has aged to a warm, textured surface, layers of ivory, sand, and earthen tones softening its contours. Standing just over two feet tall, the torso reads as both relic and study. Condition: Good vintage condition. The plaster shows discoloration throughout and small surface chips, consistent with age and material. No significant structural losses; stable overall with a warm, time-softened finish. See less
