Cast in fragmentary form, the torso recalls the language of classical busts, the musculature and curves bearing the imprint of the sculptors hand. Its unfinished edges heighten the sense of discovery, as if unearthed from an atelier or ruin. The plaster has aged to a warm, textured surface, layers of ivory, sand, and sienna tones softening its contours. Unable to stand upright, the figure is displayed resting horizontally, the body gently reclining. Read as both relic and study, it invites contemplation from every angle. Condition: Good vintage condition. The plaster shows discoloration throughout and small surface chips, consistent with age and material. No significant structural losses; stable when placed horizontally with a warm, time-softened finish. See less
