A rare 17th‑century Turkish brass oil lamp crafted in the form of a stylized bird, bearing an Islamic‑calendar date corresponding to 1699. Beautifully detailed with engraved motifs and additional inscriptions, this piece reflects Ottoman‑era artistry and functional design.
This listing is for an Antique 17th C. (1699) Turkish Brass Oil Lamp, Bird-shaped Oil Lamp/ Antique Ottoman as pictured. The date reads 1711 in Islamic calendar, which’s converts to 1699. Note there are other inscriptions which are not legible to us.
