The visual brushstrokes and use of color are skillfully executed and enhanced by the artist's choice to paint on an antique wooden crate, where she has wrapped the painting around each side. The slightly uneven wood panels of this surface create the perfect counterbalance, lending a rustic, casual warmth that invokes the farmhouse kitchen depicted in the still life. Signed by the artist 'Marell' in the lower right corner. See less
