These vintage Jim Thompson prints feature colorful cockatoos, a common subject for him. They are framed as a pair of pairs. Jim Thompson's storied life as an American designer turned spy turned entrepreneur is one for the ages. He helped revive the craft of hand-woven silk in Thailand, ultimately settling in Bangkok and creating the Thai Silk Company in 1951.
The visible prints are approximately 5 3/4" square. There is a note on the back of each that they were purchased at Jim Thompson's house in Bangkok in 1998.
