Vintage hand blown art glass bird in the Murano style.
Features a graceful sculptural form with rich aqua blue cased glass over clear crystal, an elongated neck, pulled beak, and applied eye detail. The flowing sommerso-like design and freeform shaping give this piece a very elegant mid-century modern look.
The bird is unsigned and unmarked, which is common with many vintage art glass sculptures. The style and quality are strongly reminiscent of Italian Murano glass from the mid 20th century.
Beautiful light refraction and excellent clarity throughout. Displays very well from all angles and makes a striking shelf, console, or display cabinet piece.
Condition is very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs noted.
