Offered is an antique cast brass wall trivet / hearth trivet, dating to the late 19th–early 20th century (circa 1885–1910).
This piece features a classic heart-shaped hanger, ornate openwork sides, and a sunburst / star motif at the center—design elements commonly found in Victorian and early Arts & Crafts hearth accessories. The pierced construction allowed heat to dissipate when holding hot kettles, irons, or small pans near the fireplace.
