A stunning pair of vintage American art glass pieces featuring the classic milky-white opalescence that Fenton Art Glass is world-renowned for. This set includes a sophisticated "Scroll and Eye" pedestal compote and a charming "Hobnail" open sugar bowl.
The larger pedestal piece is a standout, featuring Fenton’s "Scroll and Eye" pattern (circa 1960s). It displays a deeply ruffled or "crimped" rim with a fiery opalescent sheen that catches the light beautifully, transitioning into a clear, patterned glass body and a sturdy ribbed pedestal base.
The smaller piece is a classic "Hobnail" open sugar bowl with dual handles. While it does not bear a manufacturer's mark (common for Fenton pieces produced prior to 1970), the pattern, weight, and opalescent quality are consistent with Fenton’s iconic Hobnail line, which became their most popular pattern starting in 1940.
