Each lamp is mounted … Read more An elegant pair of signed Fortuny “Cesendello” wall sconces produced by Venetia Studium in Venice, Italy. Each lamp is mounted on a dark patinated brass sconce with an extending arm, suspending the lantern. The lights are formed out of a tapering silk lantern-form shade accented by fine braided cords, Murano Glass bead accents, and a silk tassel. The shades are hung from a patinated scrolled brass hook on the top. The fine silk features delicate accents of scrolling arabesque and foliate ornaments in taupe, green, and grey shades on a field of parchment-toned silk. The lamps are finished in a Venetian style with Moorish, Art Nouveau, and Bohemian influences. Includes lights and hardware. The entire lamp and hardware measure nearly 40" inches high from top of the sconce to the bottom when hung upright. The silk shade alone measures 12" tall. The brass has an intentionally aged patina with verdigris. The shades have a desirable aged patina with small losses which are very difficult to see. Sold as a pair.
