Hand carved chair of solid wood and self jointed wood construction. Unique carvings that are one of a kind. Made of rosewood with carved motifs of grape vine and intertwined bamboo that make up the surround, arms and seatback. A solid fitted seat panel, large detailed legs with dragon claw feet. High gloss lacquered finish, very heavy solid wood construction with handmade dado jointed wood seams, jointed curved arms. Of unknown era or origin, resembles that of Chinese Ming-style examples, resembles mid-century reproduction. In very good preowned condition with minimal wear to the surface.
