A 1930s Persian Malayer runner measuring approximately 86.4 × 492.8 cm (about 2'10" × 16'2") — a true long-corridor runner format suited to the longest hallways and gallery passages. The composition is built on a red field with a traditional geometric design.
Malayer is a town in the Hamadan province of west-central Persia (now Iran), one of the most prolific village-rug centers in the Persian tradition.
