French Provincial Bedroom set from the 1960's.
The film set designer in me was very drawn to these pieces. There was an initial temptation to want to refinish in a subtle way, but the more research I did into French Provincial furniture, the more I realized that they are perfect for someone the way they are. And obviously, not against someone refinishing them.
The tall rococo-esque dresser as a stand-alone piece has a sort of Salvador Dalí look to it. I picture this set looking best balanced with modern and colorful pieces. Colorful paintings, plants, art books, etc..
It is also worth mentioning how solid these pieces are. Even the drawer boxes are solid wood. I believe everything is oak, but I am not 100% certain.
