The textiles were likely from Chimu Culture located Northern coast of Peru and/or Chancay culture of central coast of Peru respectively, circa 12th-15th century. The sophisticated textiles from these cultures were known for their bold geometrical design and abstract animal motifs with birds being one of the most popular. See less
