The substantial, large oval shape features raised edges constructed from two layers of clear Lucite, a layer of rattan, wicker, or cane work, and geometric braiding. Although not signed, the quality of the materials and execution suggest the hand of a skilled artisan. This piece is a testament to the era's fusion of fine craftsmanship and avant-garde aesthetics — a collectible treasure for connoisseurs of 20th-century design.
