Here is a sculptural wall-mounted sconce by Visual Comfort, the Cornet Sconce designed by Christiane Lemieux, dating to 2025. The piece features a striking torchiere-style silhouette with two opposing cone forms and a slender, tapered body, creating a bold, architectural presence.
Crafted in plastered steel, this example is finished in a rich matte black—a dramatic variation from the more commonly seen white versions. The darker finish highlights the sculptural lines beautifully and gives the piece a more modern, refined edge.
I especially love how the form feels both minimal and expressive at the same time. It reads almost like functional sculpture and works just as well as a statement accent as it does a practical light source. It's also an easy piece to customize with matte paint as the plaster finish is very forgiving.
