A striking pair of vintage travertine sculptural bookends featuring a bold layered architectural form carved from solid natural stone.
The stacked disc design creates a sculptural silhouette reminiscent of postmodern stone objects from the 1970s and 1980s. Beautiful fossil inclusions and natural patterning throughout the travertine give each piece unique visual depth while the polished finish highlights the warm neutral tones of the stone.
Both functional and decorative, these substantial bookends bring a refined organic modern aesthetic to bookshelves, desks, or consoles. They also work beautifully as standalone sculptural objects when displayed without books.
Travertine décor from this period remains highly sought after for Mediterranean, minimalist, and organic modern interiors, where natural materials and sculptural forms are key design elements.
