Inspired by the defensive aesthetics of Medieval and Renaissance armor, this piece is a masterclass in mixed-media craftsmanship, blending traditional 17th-century William and Mary proportions with meticulously worked metal.

The table features a solid acacia wood frame clad in heavy, textured brass panels on the top, front, and sides. The top surface showcases a magnificent central armorial medallion—a classical urn and foliate motif—surrounded by intricate scrolling patterns and secured with industrial-style brass rivets. Unlike common leather-top versions, this all-metal surface offers a cold, substantial, and incredibly durable tactile experience.

Exceptional Craftsmanship & Details:

The baluster-turned legs and wavy "X" stretchers centered by a turned finial are substantial and finished with the meticulous hand-detailing Theodore Alexander is known for.

Engraved brass/bronze panels cover the top, drawer fronts, and side panels, creating an impressive "armoured" look.

Two frieze drawers are fitted with patinated brass drop pulls and feature traditional dovetail joinery.


Condition:
Excellent vintage condition. The brass panels feature a beautiful, intentional verdigris and patinated finish designed to mimic aged armor. Minor signs of light use.
