A 1967 limited edition lucite string cube sculpture by American artist Sue Fuller (1914-2006). This lucite cube sculpture features a red and blue string design floating in the middle. It is signed, dated, and numbered "17/25" in the lower edge.
Born in Pittsburgh in 1914, Sue Fuller was introduced to art at an early age during visits to the Carnegie International. By 1936, she received her B.A. degree from the Carnegie Institute and moved to New York City where she worked alongside other artists, including Stanley William Hayter, well known for his etchings. By 1949, Fuller began working on her "String Composition" series, including her giant Cat's Cradle, which was featured in Life Magazine later that year. During her lifetime, Fuller's work was exhibited in the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Solomon R.
