ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Marcia Colman Morton was raised in New York City and became interested in all things Austrian after her marriage to Frederic Morton, the Vienna-born American author. Her previous book, The Art of Viennese Cooking, won Vienna's "The Goldener Rathausmann" award in 1965, and her articles on food have appeared in such magazines as Woman's Day, Gourmet, Town and Country, and Holiday--from the publisher.
