Dan Mitra Hand Colored Etching “Evening Primrose” Limited Edition No. 84/950
Professionally framed and matted by W. King Ambler Old Prints and Maps
Beautiful hand-colored limited edition etching from well-known artist, Dan Mitra. Reminiscent of antique botanical subjects, this is beautifully and delicately executed. The piece is pencil-signed by the artist in the bottom right corner, and the artist has also penciled in the title (left bottom corner) as well as the edition number 84/950 (bottom center).
Dan Mitra (born 1951) is a Romanian-American artist known for his highly detailed, hand-colored etchings of nature, flora, and fauna. After working as a graphic designer for theater and film, he moved to the US in the 1980s, developing a unique technique using metal plates and needle etching.
Measurements: Artwork 10x7, Frame 16x19
Condition: The print is framed under glass and in excellent (near pristine) condition. The frame is in good condition with a few scuffs (see photos). The back of the frame is completely intact and ready to hang.
