It is certified and signed … Read more This museum-quality Silver 8 Reale Coin was found by Mel Fisher at the Atocha Shipwreck. It is certified and signed by Fisher to be from the Potosi, Peru mint and estimated to be coined between 1619 and 1622. Minted during the reign of Philip III. It is graded a 2, which signifies the wonderful condition it is in. Weighs 24.9 grams. What makes this even more desirable is the custom jewelry box it is displayed in. The box features an artist's rendering of the ship. Also included is a second piece that denotes the history of the Atocha treasure. This is the only Atocha coin that I've ever seen with such an incredible display! See less
