The bottom looks like a brown oyster shell. You don’t have to like oysters to appreciate this unusual and charming piece.

I don’t know the exact age of the piece, however it may be midcentury. There is no maker’s mark.

The design fits the coastal theme perfectly.

It is approximately 14” across the widest part, approximately 7” deep and approximately 2.5” high. There are some minor marks on the top and bottom, consistent with age and use, which do not affect the overall appearance of the piece. Please refer to the pictures.
