Antique Victorian Gilt Framed Oil Painting on Canvas The Proposal H. B. Sparks
An antique oil painting titled 'The Proposal' by H. Bland Sparks, dating to circa 1890. This artwork captures a romantic scene with a gentleman proposing to a lady in a serene outdoor setting. The painting is in an old gilt painted frame and signed in its lower left hand corner and also has a plaque on its front with an artists label on the backside of its frame as well
In good condition showing some typical age-appropriate wear from normal use, it was relined and stabilized at some time and has overall crazing with some small blemishes and touchups along the frames edges
