Traditionally, chocolate pots like this were used for serving hot drinking chocolate, with the milk or water heated separately and then poured into the pot. Today, this elegant vessel works equally well for warm beverages such as tea, coffee, hot water, or mulled cider — simply pour pre‑heated liquid into the pot rather than placing it over direct heat.
