crafted from fine Mahogany with decorative gold gilding accenting the two fold-out doors and a recessed brass carrying handle.

It opens to reveal customized compartments holding original glass vials with glass and cork stoppers, some labeled with remnant of 125+ year old medicinal preparations. Six draws with bone pulls hold and a variety of apothecary tools including ivory, bone and crystal handled silver implements and vessels used for mixing compounds that doctors prepared on-site when making house calls.

A secret sliding panel concealed in the back of the cabinet reveals a hidden compartments used to store poisons and potent drugs. On top is a recessed brass carrying handle. Dimensions: 10” H x 11.5” W x 7.5” D

The cabinet is solid and in excellent condition with expected light surface wear, and patina consistent with genuine use. The lined Interior is beautifully preserved, hinges function well and mechanism secures closed door without key.. Two or three bottles missing cork stoppers.
