The Desk
This solid birch bookcase desk features an asymmetric design with a full length middle drawer, two drawers on the left, and open L-shaped display shelves on the right. The desk provides generous storage (all drawers glide smoothly) and two cantilevered shelves perfect for books, objects, or display. The writing surface is spacious and the overall silhouette is clean and architectural. Authenticated with the stamped Heywood-Wakefield eagle logo ("Est. 1826") inside the drawer, and the model ("M-783W") and date of manufacture ("Feb 6, 1962") on the bottom of the middle drawer.

The Chairs
Three captain's-style armchairs with Heywood-Wakefield's signature sculpted curved crest rail, spindle back supports, gracefully swooping bentwood arms, and tapered splayed legs. Solid birch construction in the matching wheat finish. Seats have been upholstered in a woven stripe fabric in soft blue, cream, and peach tones. All three chairs are structurally sound with tight joints. No wobble, no repairs.

Condition
Overall good to very good. The desk's original finish shows light surface scratches on the top and back consistent with age and gentle use; sides show minor scuffing at lower edges. All drawers and shelves are intact and functional. The chairs are in excellent structural condition with the original finish showing warm patina and only minor wear. Upholstery is clean and intact with no tears, stains, or sagging.
