Tag on trunk details W.M. Nuttall, a saddle maker, as the in Bury, UK. The exact date of this trunk manufacture is unknown, but the style indicates late 19th Century. Dome Height ranges from 21" - 24".

Dome steamer trunks were only had by the wealthy, since no other luggage could be placed on top.

The four felt pads are not original (obviously). They were put on the bottom to protect the owner's hardwood floor and to eliminate any unnecessary additional wear to the bottom of the trunk. See less
