Antique Victorian Aesthetic Movement A.F. Foley Staffordshire Transferware Covered Vegetable Dish - Stoke on Trent England
This was made during the Victorian Aesthetic Movement circa 1880's in Stoke on Trent, England. Beautiful transferware ironstone covered vegetable server with designs in red. Features a roundly sculputered shape with the base having a pedestal. The lid has a beautiful circle shaped handle and there are handles at the ends of the dish. This is in wonderful condition, no chips or cracks, very clean, the usual occasional speckle that is found in the Foley glaze. A lovely addition to your set or for serving special dishes for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Dish measures approx. 13 x 7 x 6 inches. Check out my store of other rare pieces in this pattern.
