These contemporary Venetian modernist vases are signed Cinedese and display an elegant elongated organic form, combining modern design with traditional Italian glassmaking techniques. The vases are crafted using the Barovier style rostrato technique, a highly skilled process in which the glass maestro pulls pointed projections from the hot glass using special tools, creating a dramatic three-dimensional texture on the exterior and a shimmering optical pattern within the body of the glass. This technique requires precision and speed, and the quality of the execution on this pair clearly demonstrates the high level of craftsmanship associated with Murano glass production. The sculptural surface catches and reflects light beautifully, enhancing the depth of the aquamarine color and giving the pieces a strong decorative presence.
