This 1974 watercolor titled .” Flows of Tenojoki River 2” is by Estonian/Canadian Artist Osvald Timmas.
Born in Estonia in 1913, Timmas studied at the University of Tartu majoring in Economics. He worked at the Studio School with Nikolai Kummits, and Gunther Reindorff, and studied Illustrative Arts in Stockholm, Sweden. Timmy’s settled in Canada in 1951 and began painting professionally in 1956 in watercolour, oil and acrylics.
His works are in many galleries and museums across Canada, Europe and America as well as several institutional collections,
Very 1970s wooden frame with metallic silver plastic inlay, pinkish cream colored matte and glass. Originally sold at Gallerie Fore in Canada.
