One-of-a-kind mixed media screenprint by Houston-based artist Carlos Hernandez, founder of Burning Bones Press. This monumental 76 × 52 inch work features Hernandez’s signature punk-meets-Día de los Muertos aesthetic — a screaming skeleton figure with radiating halo, X-mark eyes, and halftone patterning in a bold red, black, and white palette.
Hernandez’s work is collected by the Smithsonian Institution and the Library of Congress. He has served as Artist-in-Residence at Nashville’s Hatch Show Print, designed the official commemorative poster for the Austin City Limits Music Festival, and created work for clients including Levi’s, Google, and American Express.
