The maker's mark is hand-incised on the bottom, indicating their earlier mid-century production from the 1950s-1970s. Gainey shut down in 2013, so their pieces are increasingly hard to find.

No drainage holes have been drilled in it. It is clean, but does appear to have been used. There is some mineral buildup at the base and discoloration in the bottom, consistent with age and use. There is one chip out of the bottom, which shows in small part on the bottom rim from the side, but does not affect function. See photos for details. less
