A master of texture and gesture, he was a painter and sculptor who exhibited with Pace Gallery, and thought of as the innovator of the later movement Arte Povera, known for using common materials such as tar, burlap, string, as well as pigments. This work, signed at lower right, is a dramatic gestural work done in his style incorporating burlap, string, muslin and pigments on canvas. Framed in a gold heavy decorative frame, it is ready to hang. This work will work in any contemporary interior with tones of gray, silver, black, blond, or white. See less
