I've been painting them for years because each one is different in it's own way and depending on the season. This particular shack was a winter scene on Venice Beach, California. I loved how the background fades in the misty marine layer so common in winter. The only pop of color on the beach was the shack itself, reminding the viewer that it would be there when summer comes. The wood, battered by the salt air, so beachy! See less
