A charming French pastoral landscape scene featuring a river with cows and homes in the background. Two farmers sit on the river bank. Beautiful bright blue sky with very expertly painted clouds. Lush greenery surrounds the entire scene. No visible signature. The gilt wood frame has a carved shell motif with lots of scrolls and small floral details. Sourced in France.
