Large vintage 19th Century French (Napoleon 3rd style) wash table or coiffeuse with white Carrara marble top. Base has large, beautifully turned legs with a curved lower wood shelf. Top has a marble backsplash with raised shelf. Marble top is slightly inset to contain water. Backsplash is supported by gently shaped sidewalls. There are 2 working drawers with brass knobs. Lower shelf is shaped with an ogee edge.
Measurements are:
51" wide
25.5" deep
Basin surface is 29" high
Back shelf is 9" off basin surface
Top of backsplash to floor is 42.75"
Top of backsplash to basin surface is 14"
Note: Top piece of backsplash is loose and broken, having been previously repaired. It may be possible to remove top piece and refinish top shelf or replace with a new piece.
