The vessel is wheel-thrown with a thick, rounded lip and a subtly tapered body, giving it a strong, utilitarian presence typical of mid-20th-century provincial kiln production. Its weight, scale, and robust walls make it suitable for indoor or covered outdoor use, whether for housing a small tree, a tabletop arrangement, or simply serving as a sculptural ceramic accent. The glaze is characteristic of traditional high-temperature firings: a rich, iron-based brown layered over darker cobalt-toned runs, creating variation and depth under light.
