The exterior shows the expected mottled surface from oxidation and long use, giving the piece a muted mix of grey, brass, and coppery undertones. The lid features a raised diamond motif framed by linear bands, while the sides retain their original recessed metal handles. Inside, the trunk reveals its original wood interior and a small divided compartment along one side—typical of trunks intended for household storage or personal valuables.
