A striking pair of sculptural goblets designed by Emilia Castillo for the renowned Los Castillo workshop in Taxco, Mexico, showcasing the extraordinary craftsmanship and artistic innovation that helped make Taxco one of the most important centers of twentieth-century decorative metalwork.
Each goblet is beautifully hand hammered in silver plate, creating a richly textured surface that reflects light with subtle brilliance. Supporting the cup is a stylized parrot figure crafted with stone inlay, incorporating malachite and lapis lazuli, materials frequently used by the Castillo workshop to create dramatic color contrasts against polished metal surfaces.
The parrots feature finely detailed forms including carved beaks and expressive eyes, giving the pieces a lively sculptural presence that transforms them from simple tableware into true decorative art objects.
The underside of each goblet retains the original hallmark:
Los Castillo – Taxco – TO-01 – Plateado
confirming their production within the historic Los Castillo silversmith workshop, one of the most celebrated names in Mexican modern design.
These pieces work beautifully for interior designers as:
• barware accents
• sculptural tabletop decor
• curated dining table settings
• display objects for shelving or cabinets
• statement pieces in coastal or tropical interiors
Their combination of hand hammered silver, natural stone inlay, and animal sculpture makes them particularly appealing in interiors incorporating:
Palm Beach style

Hollywood Regency
