The Persian turquoise cabochon is a striking robin’s egg blue—the stone has such clarity and purity of color that it sings against the buttery 24k gold. The turquoise has an almost waxy sheen that we love, as it is not quite high polish, and the vibrant blue appears to glow from within. The ring’s bezel is thick, offering a tall raised setting that elevates the cabochon, and the north-south setting is graceful and elongated on the hand. The 24k gold bezel and hand-hammered ring shank has a rich hue and lovely matte surface.

The natural turquoise cabochon measures 13.25 x 10 mm. The bezel that holds it is 4.2 mm deep, and the cabochon sits 5.65 mm above the finger. The band of the ring measures 1.6 mm wide. The ring weighs 4.15 grams. The ring was made in Turkey. It is marked as 24k and signed Farideh, who is known for importing the highest quality Persian turquoise to the United States.
