A 1980s acrylic on paper painting by the American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). This broody abstract work depicts stormy skies with a darkened hilly landscape below. Signed to the lower right, the painting is unframed.
Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-1990s. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, wax paintings, video art, sculpture, and more. His studios could be found in New York, California, Texas, Georgia, and Florida. Hilson and his wife, Jane, also ran a framing company called Fine Art Inc.
