Jasba Keramik was founded in 1926 by Jakob Schwaderlapp and became one of the most important West German pottery manufacturers, renowned for innovative glazing techniques and bold decorative schemes.

This imposing vase stands 45 cm tall with a body diameter of 23 cm and features a classic tapered form finished in a smooth matte anthracite grey base glaze. The body is adorned with vertical chains of interlocking organic loop motifs in raised glossy glaze, hand-decorated in white, turquoise, blue, red, and yellow — creating a vibrant, almost jewel-like contrast against the dark matte ground. The interior is finished in a rich turquoise glaze, visible at the rim and adding a subtle flash of colour when viewed from above.

The original Jasba Keramik foil sticker is intact on the body, reading "Jasba Keramik" with the collection name "Form + Farbe." This label style was used between 1962 and 1967, helping to date the piece precisely.
