This is a elegantly proportioned regency revival, vintage flame mahogany and ormolu mounted breakfront sideboard by the master cabinet maker … Read more This is a elegantly proportioned regency revival, vintage flame mahogany and ormolu mounted breakfront sideboard by the master cabinet maker waring and gillow, late 20th century in date. It is made of stunning flame mahogany with crossbanding and ebony stringing. It is fitted with three drawers fitted with ormolu ring handles and the whole is decorated with fluting, ormolu mounts and anthemion, the central drawer with a carved urn crest. It has four panelled cupboards opening to central shelves and is raised on tapered square supports terminating in spade feet. Purchased at great expense from harrods in the 1980s. There is no mistaking the fine craftsmanship of this handsome sideboard which is certain to become a treasured addition to your furniture collection.

the botanical name for the mahogany that this item is made of is swietenia macrophylla and this type of mahogany is not subject to cites regulation and does not contain any restricted materials.
