As featured in the Heywood Brothers & Wakefield Company’s 1898-99 Classic Wicker Furniture illustrated catalog, this matching 4-piece set is stunning. Victorian peacock style design combined with quality materials and craftsmanship have allowed this set to stand the test of time. All pieces are structurally sound. Seating has been tried and held a 200lb person without issue.
As with any furniture over a century old, there are signs of wear. The original white paint is chipped and flakey but overall still mostly intact. I vigorously brushed it down to remove any loose flakes. Some of the decorative elements have snapped or worn thin, but any damage is purely cosmetic and does not interfere with strength, function, or comfort. There is no maker’s label attached.
Loveseat: 58”w x 23”d x 47”h, seat is 40”w x20”d x 16”h.
Chairs: 34”w x 22”d x 47”h, seat is 17.5”w x 19”d x 16”h.
