This hand-carved jade display captures the joyful essence of the Laughing Buddha, rendered in a soothing, mottled celadon green stone with a soft, lustrous polish. The figure is depicted with a wide, exuberant grin and traditional elongated earlobes, wearing a mala bead necklace that draped across his chest. He carries a large sack, symbolizing the collection of woes and the distribution of fortune, which flows naturally into the elongated, organic shape of the carving. Measuring approximately 3 inches in height, the piece features fine, rounded relief work that highlights the stone's natural translucency. A discreet, tiny hole is vertically integrated near the top, allowing this serene carving to be displayed either as a standing focal piece or suspended as a weighted charm.
