These sconces although ornate are light and graceful and decorated with carved C-scrolls and acanthus leaves. The candle cups are gilded bronze. The mirror plates have oxidized over the years.

The Rococo period (1700-1770) was an 18th Century artistic movement that originated in Paris against the rigid grandeur of the Baroque period.
