The floating green inclusions — ranging from mint to deep emerald, densest at the base and more scattered toward the shoulder — connect directly to the Art Nouveau tradition of northeastern France, the same region that produced Gallé and Daum, and from which La Rochère itself drew its decorative language.

The construction accounts for the particular depth and luminosity of the colors: an opaque white glass core provides the ground, a middle layer of granular blue set with the green inclusions sits atop it, and a thick clear outer shell encloses everything — leaving the exterior completely smooth. The white inner layer is what gives the colors their density rather than transparency. At the base, the glassblower's pontil scar is visible as a swirling spiral, confirming this was shaped entirely by hand.
