Bent & Brothers of Gardner, Massachusetts: once known as the “Chair Capitol of the World.”

S. Bent & Bros. operated from 1867 to 2000 and was renowned for producing high-quality Colonial Revival furniture using traditional methods and locally sourced wood.

This classic Colonial-style rocker features elegant arrow/lancet-shaped spindles, a sculpted crest rail, a contoured saddle seat, gracefully curved rockers, and turned stretchers throughout. The warm honey-toned finish is in excellent condition with beautiful wood grain visible throughout.
The original maker’s stamp, “S. Bent & Bros., Gardner, Mass., Chairs”, is clearly visible on the underside of the seat, along with production numbers. See less
